Barack Obama is obviously extremely busy naming people to his inner cabinet and dealing with the whole transition process, but why can’t he spare a day and head down to Georgia to help out Jim Martin?
According to a recent post by Kos, Saxby Chambliss raised $1.6 million from November 13-21 while his Democratic challenger Jim Martin raised $462,000.
That’s enough to keep Martin in the game, but just barely. What is Obama waiting for? Sure he’s sent some operatives there, but virtually every pundit looking at the Georgia race says the runoff will be determined by the turnout and that an Obama rally or two would do wonders for Martin’s chances.
