Jim Martin's 14 point drubbing by Republican incumbent Saxby Chambliss in Georgia shows that Democrats need to be constantly looking over their sholders until the 2010 elections. Republicans ran hard against Obama and Democrats in this race and Chambliss surged seven points since the November general election. Republican suburban and rural voters turned out in droves for Chambliss while Democratic and black voters stayed home in droves. In 2010, if this happens, we could be looking at another 1994.
